After a long career in the air transport industry, Campbell's journey began as a WWII Lancaster pilot, followed by running his own flying service, a 20-year role with the Saskatchewan Air Ambulance, and serving as the general manager of Regina Airport. He later became a Transport Canada official. In the end, Campbell took on the project of sharing the story of his time with the Saskatchewan Air Ambulance Service—a lively and personal account filled with anecdotes.
