Notes

This volume collects a selection of articles and editorials written by Canadian journalist and editor Ralph Allen (1913-1966) between 1938 and 1965. Allen's work is organized by topic in some sections and by publication venue in others. His Maclean's contributions, and his WWII war correspondence for the Globe and Mail, are particularly well-represented. Each section is introduced by Allen's former Maclean's colleague Christina McCall (here, Christina McCall Newman).

Allan was born and raised in Oxbow, Saskatchewan.
