Notes

A slim booklet outlining the origins and development of the Community Health Services (Saskatoon) Association, better known as the Saskatoon Community Clinic. Established as a medical co-operative in the aftermath of the 1962 Saskatchewan doctors’ strike, the association developed an alternative model of community-based health care. Dennis Gruending traces its first decade, drawing on interviews and published sources to document the organization’s formation, early years, and development. The booklet was produced as a sponsored history of the association.
