Notes

Carlyle King wrote and edited several history books on the University of Saskatchewan (where he taught English and, later, served as Dean of Academic Services), as well as its faculty's accomplishments. In “The First Fifty,” King summarizes the University’s colleges and faculties in relation to teaching and research. Regarding teaching, he outlines the development and structure of each faculty’s degree programs, offering comments on course offerings and registration numbers. Regarding research contributions, King highlights major publications, experiments, and areas of scholarly expertise in each faculty, noting both the local and international significance of specific projects. The volume concludes with a list of books published by University faculty and a partial list of faculty articles and papers. Includes index.
