Notes

Published from 1948 until 2017, “Saskatchewan History” magazine showcased both scholarly and general interest work on diverse groups, events, and periods in the province’s past. As a publication of the Saskatchewan Archives Board, the magazine invited submissions from archivists, librarians, and academics. Issues can contain scholarly articles, book reviews, archival reports, and reminiscences. This volume includes material on Matthew S. Anderson’s provincial health insurance plan (a precursor to Tommy Douglas’ Medicare), farming practices in different regions of Saskatchewan in the 1910s/1920s, changes to women’s work on the prairies following access to electricity, and a 1912 tornado that caused damage in Regina.
