Notes

This tourism booklet promotes Saskatchewan as a three-season angling destination. In regard to transportation and lodging, the booklet describes Saskatchewan as accessible and comfortable. The authors emphasize the province’s plethora of species of fish to catch, long angling season, and variety of fishing settings (from southern provincial parks to northern fly-in fishing). The booklet also summarizes rules and regulations regarding angling licenses and catch limits. Photographs of Saskatchewan’s lakes and rivers appear throughout. Includes a fold-out provincial map marking lakes, the fish they contain, and methods of travel, with “Some of Our Game Fish” illustrated on reverse. No publication date indicated, but A. H. Macdonald’s role as “supervisor of fisheries” (rather than Director of Northern Affairs) suggests a publication date between 1945 and 1957.
