Notes

A biography of J. W. Corman centred on his years as Saskatchewan's first Attorney General in the CCF government of Tommy Douglas. After a brief account of his upbringing, legal career, and municipal politics in Moose Jaw, the authors examine his role in shaping the province's early legislative program between 1944 and 1956, including the Farm Security Act, the Saskatchewan Bill of Rights, and other measures associated with the Douglas government. The volume concludes with a brief account of Corman's retirement and later life. Illustrated with photographs, notes, bibliography, and index.
