Notes

This volume contains a community history of the districts surrounding the town of Davidson and the former village of Girvin (in Saskatchewan’s Rural Municipality of Arm River #252). The book opens with section maps indicating original owners and chapters covering the area’s geography, early homesteading experiences, and Girvin and Davidson’s histories (including history of Davidson’s Union Hospital). Topical chapters on local agriculture, churches, organizations, schools, services, and transportation appear as well. The majority of the volume consists of family histories contributed by area residents. Includes index.
