Notes

Bruce R. Schnell was a faculty member and dean of the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Pharmacy and served for eight years as the university’s Vice President (Academic). In this volume, Schnell celebrates a century of Pharmacy education and research at the university. The book’s first half traces Pharmacy's history at the university. Schnell outlines the creation of a School of Pharmacy in 1913 (and, in 1921, a College), the College’s growth in relation to the university, and the program’s development to keep abreast of new pharmaceutical discoveries. Schnell’s history profiles deans and key figures within the College, describes curriculum changes, and notes the evolving role of pharmacists in the medical field. The book’s second half contains reflections on Pharmacy education at the university by 23 Pharmacy graduates. Includes bibliography and index.
