Notes

This community history volume covers the town of Hepburn (in Saskatchewan's Rural Municipality of Laird #404) and its twelve surrounding school districts: Carson, Edenberg, Embury, Hudson Bay, Lakeburg, Marion, Mennon, New Home, Parker, Richmond, Schmidtsburg, and Steele. The first chapters discuss the area's settlement, local government, and business development. Chapters recounting local churches, schools, services, agriculture, and leisure follow. Family histories contributed by area residents comprise the book's largest section. In addition to an Honour Roll, the volume contains cemetery listings for Carson School Cemetery, Schoenwiese Cemetery (Steele), Schoenwiese Bergthaler Cemetery, the Guenter [Family] Cemetery, and Hepburn Mennonite Brethren Church Cemetery (including the "old" cemetery). Includes index.
