Notes

Dan Danielson grew up in Tyner, Saskatchewan (northwest of Swift Current) in the 1950s. In this volume, he recalls his small-town childhood as well as his work farming, teaching, and as a part of various corporations (such as the Saskatchewan Land Bank) and boards (such as the Saskatchewan School Boards Association). Danielson’s memories of youth in Tyner are full of good-natured humor and showcase colorful characters, while his descriptions of farming balance individual effort with community compassion. In the latter part of the volume, Danielson discusses his efforts to supplement his income with education and city employment and offers a primer on effective corporate governance and leadership. Throughout, he acknowledges the support of family and friends.
