In this volume, Joseph Lozinksy and Heather A. Leier – active members of Saskatchewan’s Catholic community – identify the province’s 25 shrines dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. For each shrine, the booklet indicates a location, offers a brief history, and comments on associated pilgrims and pilgrimage events. The volume’s second half presents a theological and ritual overview of Marian devotion including explanations of icons and rosaries, elaborations on papal letters and religious doctrines, and advice regarding prayer. Photos of shrines appear throughout.
