Notes

This book contains a parish history of Nordheimer Mennonite Church (in Hanley, Saskatchewan) prepared in conjunction with the church’s 1975 Golden Jubilee. The volume describes Mennonite immigration to the Hanley area in the 1920s and the establishment of several Mennonite churches (at Dundurn, Elbow, Hanley, and Pleasant Point). The authors identify church leaders and officials, note milestones and major decisions, and describe congregational activities and community outreach. The latter section of the book contains reminiscences by church members. Includes a church membership list 1925-1975 and lists of burials at Hillside Cemetery and Hanley Cemetery (to 1974). Text in English (primarily) and German. No publication date indicated, but title and contents suggest a publication date of 1975 or later.
