Notes

This thick, 16 x 23 cm (6.3 x 9 in) book contains a community history of the hamlet of Falun (in Alberta’s County of Wetaskiwin #10) and its surrounding school districts. Districts covered in the book include Anthony Hill, Bidinger, Bonnie Glen, Ernest Park, Fletcher, Lone Ridge, Ma-Me-O, Mound Red, Peaceful Valley, Pigeon Creek, Pigeon Valley, Rapid Creek, Richmond, South Pigeon Lake, and Twin Creek. Each chapter covers a specific district and opens with a short historical overview, a list of teachers, and a list of homesteaders/section owners. The largest component of each chapter consists of a combination of family histories contributed by area residents and topical histories (of churches, organizations, events, etc.). A short photo section concludes each chapter. Includes index.
