Notes

This souvenir booklet was produced for a 1929 Winter Carnival held at Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The three-day event showcased winter sports such as curling, hockey, horse racing, and dogsled racing (including the 25-mile World’s Championship race awarding the Premier King Cup, a contest noted in newspapers across Canada). The booklet includes a list of organizers and officials, a program of events, brief descriptions of Prince Albert and the surrounding area, and portraits of young women from across the province appearing as candidates to become Carnival Queen. Includes a feature on the (then-)newly created Prince Albert National Park. Advertisements from area businesses appear throughout.
