Notes

Oma Doering contributed writing and research to several local history projects focussed on Saskatchewan communities west of Last Mountain Lake. In this booklet, Doering compiles reminiscences and stories of attending school in Edwards School District #2535 (in Saskatchewan’s Rural Municipality of Dufferin #190). The volume opens with a historical overview of the school’s 40-year operation, lists of teachers and trustees, and class photos. The booklet also contains family histories contributed by school attendees. Recollections of school days by teachers and students conclude the volume, balancing insight into early 1900s prairie education practices with community history information. No publication date indicated, but the booklet was prepared as part of a 1980 reunion event, making a publication date of 1980 or later likely.
