Notes

This large book comprises Vol. 1 of a community history of the town of Craik and its surrounding area (in Saskatchewan’s Rural Municipality of Craik #222). The first half of the book contains family histories contributed by area residents. The second half includes sections about local involvement in both world wars (photographic Honour Roll, reminiscences of war brides) as well as chapters covering local churches, agriculture, organizations, sports teams, and recreation. In addition, there is a lengthy chapter that compiles the histories of the following schools: Ames, Antelope, Aylesbury, Banbury, Barrett, Beacon, Bennett, Craik, Dixmude, Eclipse, Eildon, Erie, Fargo, Foxbury, Hallville, Holmsdale, Hustlers, Parkhill, Pilgrim, Rose Hill, Sheppard, Squaw Creek, Sunkist, Watkins, and Willow Bluff. Includes index and township maps with names of each section’s first owner.
