A district history of the neighbouring settlements of Rowletta and Lake Valley, formerly situated along the now-abandoned Canadian National Railway line between Riverhurst and Moose Jaw. The remains of Rowletta fall within the Rural Municipality of Marquis No. 191, while Lake Valley lay within the Rural Municipality of Eyebrow No. 193.
The volume opens with concise historical sketches of both communities and the school districts Beattie-Premier, Faulkton, Wilson, Kipling, Pelican Lake, and West Marquis. Additional sections touch on local churches, women’s organizations, community clubs and groups, sports and celebrations.
The principal portion of the book consists of family histories of area residents. An Honour Roll and Index are included.
