This volume includes histories from community members in Saskatchewan's Rural Municipality of Canwood #494 (formerly the R.M. of Thompson), as well as "all School Districts bussed into the Canwood School": Balsamdale, Blue Heron, Boro Green, Dry Creek, Moonbeam, Moose Valley, Nestledown, Sandy Lake, Silent Call, Silver Cliff, Stump Lake, Sugar Hill, and Summit Prairie (iv). In addition to chapters on local churches, organizations, sports, business, and schools, the book includes a short history of Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation (here, "Ahtahkakoop - Sandy Lake Reserve"). That history includes lists of chiefs and council members as well as brief descriptions of education, medical, and postal services, but contains no images. Includes index.
