Previous owners name and a date neatly handwritten on the blank front endpaper, occasional handwritten notes throughout, recipes handwritten on the final two pages, top fore-edge corners of approximately ten pages bent and creased - supposedly to bookmark the page, edges and corners of the binding worn, dime sized black marks distributed across the covers and the backstrip.

Irvine, Louise Lucas, Mrs. David Lewis, Mrs. Frank Scott, Mrs. Stanley H. Knowles, Mrs. M. J. Coldwell and many others. Mrs. T. C. Doulas of Weyburn, Saskatchewan contributes her recipe for Lemon Cake Pie.
