Beyond Our Dreams: Marysburg and Area is the community history of Marysburg and the surrounding district in central Saskatchewan. The volume traces the settlement and development of the community within the wider context of St. Peter's Colony, a German Catholic settlement established in the early twentieth century. It includes historical essays on Assumption Parish, local businesses, recreation, and education, with accounts of St. Henry School, St. Paul's Private Catholic School, the Ursulines in Marysburg, and the rural schools of Veronika, Blume, Bright Valley, and Burton Lake. A substantial portion of the volume is devoted to family histories of area residents.
