Notes

This volume contains a community history of the area surrounding the village of Punnichy (in Saskatchewan’s Rural Municipalities of Touchwood #248, Kutawa #278, and Mount Hope #279). The volume opens with brief historical overviews of local settlements (including Arbury, Day Star First Nation, Gordon First Nation, Kawacatoose First Nation, Kutawa, and Muskowekwan First Nation) as well as brief municipal histories. Longer topical chapters on local churches, school districts (incl. Gordon’s Indian Residential School), businesses and services, artists, sports and recreation, and organizations follow. The largest section of the volume consists of family histories contributed by area residents. Includes cemetery lists and index. Errata.
