Notes

This large, thick volume contains a community history of school districts in Saskatchewan’s Rural Municipality of Turtle River #469. The book is divided into sections by district, and the family histories contributed by area residents that comprise the bulk of each section are prefaced by historical overviews of the district (usually including maps, reminiscences, and accounts of local churches, clubs, and schools). The volume opens with a short section on regional prehistory, overland trails, First Nations groups, and the fur trade. Contains cemetery lists for Christ the King Church Cemetery in Edam, Edam Municipal Cemetery, St. Hippolyte Church cemetery in the St. Hippolyte district, and a list of burials conducted by All Saints Church in the Spenceville-Langemeade district. Includes index.
