Notes

This volume contains a community history of the hamlet of St. Lina (in Alberta’s County of St. Paul #19, northeast of Edmonton) and its surrounding districts. Much of the volume’s text consists of family histories contributed by area residents. The book opens with a brief historical overview of the arrival of European fur traders – and, later, homesteaders – in the region. Topical chapters covering local sports teams, organizations, schools and districts, and St. Helene Catholic Church (incl. baptisms lists, 1914-1934) also appear. Includes index.
