Community history of the Pilger district in Saskatchewan, including the nearby Roman Catholic parish of St. Bernard, an area settled largely by families of German heritage. The volume contains brief historical essays, reminiscences, and anecdotes relating to the settlement and development of the district, together with accounts of St. Bernard School, Colorado-Pilger School, and the Canvasback School District. A substantial portion of the book is devoted to illustrated family histories of area residents. Also included are parish records of baptisms and marriages from 1908 to mid-July 1980.
